About

SheHive History

In 2016, Ursula Adams founded SheHive with a mission to create a space for women to connect while learning from each other – integrating all facets of their wellness.

Why? Because it didn’t exist elsewhere.

Located in Ferndale, Michigan, SheHive flourished as a community for thousands of women through the years, providing classes and coaching, as well as a coworking space for emerging female entrepreneurs.

Whether women were seeking a place to connect with others on a personal, professional or spiritual level, the SheHive created a community of incredible women who lived life on the other side of should.

In 2022, Ursula opted to close SheHive, which maintained a small online presence following the COVID-19 pandemic. In early 2023, Julie Hardy purchased the SheHive from Ursula. Led by the vision Ursula created, Julie has transformed the resource into a nationwide, virtual platform for women to find more.

Meet Julie Hardy

SheHive Owner

Julie was introduced to the SheHive in 2018, where she took classes and was drawn to the energy and wisdom of the space. Julie truly found SheHive to be a place to become and belong. Through the pandemic, Julie hosted live events about creating healthy rituals while in quarantine and helped to start—and continues to co-lead—the Wheel of the Year Circle through SheHive.

When it was announced that the SheHive was closed, Julie knew she didn’t want to exist in a world without SheHive, and quickly decided she was up next to lead this incredible organization.

A fierce feminist who is committed to a lifetime of learning and growing, Julie is passionate about inspiring others to live a happy, intentional life. Outside of the Hive, Julie works in healthcare finance consulting and serves on the boards of multiple professional organizations.

Living in metro Detroit with her husband Shaun, Julie enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, watching football, meditating, and reading. Julie is polyamorous and childfree by choice and thrives being around the women of the SheHive, who choose to live their own authentic lives.
